Jellyfin Specials Filter: It Works

The second Jellyfin plugin is out. This one is about cleaning up the noise.

Season 0 in Jellyfin is where specials, extras, and random one-offs end up. For some libraries that is fine, but for a carefully curated collection it is just clutter. I got tired of seeing “Season 0 (12 episodes)” on shows where I only care about the main run. So I built a plugin that removes them automatically.

After each library scan, the Specials Filter runs and removes any Season 0 entries from the libraries you have configured it for. Nothing manual, nothing to remember. It just stays clean.

Configuration is per-library, so if you have a library where specials actually matter, you leave it out of the filter. Per-show overrides are on the roadmap too, for cases where you want to keep specials for one particular series.

I published this the day after the Missing Episodes plugin, mostly because I had the project structure figured out from the first one and this was a smaller scope. The two plugins are separate installs so you can use one without the other.
