SHED: Tracking Purchases and Sales
The economic side of SHED is starting to come together. Purchases and sales tracking is now in, which has been on the list for a while.
The group does a fair amount of trade and cargo work alongside the combat stuff, and keeping track of what has been bought and sold across multiple commanders is genuinely useful. Before this, it was spreadsheets and memory. Now it feeds in automatically from the game journal via the desktop client and shows up in the web app.
The main view shows recent transactions, and you can filter by commander or commodity. It is basic for now but it covers the use case well enough. Coordinating trade runs is much easier when everyone can see what has already been moved.
Bank balance tracking landed about a week before this, so you can now see your credit balance alongside transaction history. Watching the numbers go up after a solid trade run is a small thing but it adds up to the app feeling like a real record of what the group has been doing.
SHED is still very much in active development, the live site is at elite.sweetffa.com if you want to see where things are at. More features coming soon.
